Saskatchewan Invests in Sustainable Innovation to Accelerate Global Growth
Feb 28, 2025
With new investments from Saskatchewan’s leading innovation funds, Greenwave Innovations is advancing data-driven sustainability technology that eliminates waste, strengthens industry, and supports economic growth in Canada and beyond.
Innovation Saskatchewan has announced more than $1 million in new funding through the Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund (SAIF) and the Agtech Growth Fund (AGF), supporting industry-led research and development across the province’s key sectors.
Since 2012, SAIF has invested over $15.7 million in 61 projects, while AGF — launched in 2020 — has committed $4.5 million to 24 projects, helping Saskatchewan companies move from development to commercialization and global markets.
Among the Spring 2025 recipients is Greenwave Innovations, which received $255,000 to advance its data-driven platform that automates building and industrial equipment monitoring. The technology helps organizations eliminate wasted resources, reduce unnecessary costs, and unlock operational excellence.
The announcement, made at Co.Labs in Saskatoon, highlighted the province’s growing focus on sustainable and scalable technologies across energy, agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, and mining.
For Greenwave, the investment reinforces Saskatchewan’s role in supporting clean technology companies with global potential — enabling locally developed solutions to deliver measurable impact well beyond provincial borders.
