At an Innovation Saskatchewan event announcing $2.197 million in new funding, Harvard Developments highlighted how its partnership with Greenwave Innovations is delivering real, measurable performance improvements in buildings across Saskatchewan and beyond.

Greenwave Innovations was featured at a recent Innovation Saskatchewan event in Regina that announced $2.197 million in funding for nine industry-led research and development projects through the Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund (SAIF) and the Agtech Growth Fund (AGF).
During the event, Tim Jennings, Director of Technical Services at Harvard Developments, shared how the organization approaches sustainability in practical, performance-driven terms—and highlighted the value delivered through its partnership with Greenwave.
“At Harvard Developments, we think about sustainability in very practical terms,” said Jennings. “It’s about how our buildings actually perform every day, and how we use information to operate them more efficiently over time.”
Jennings explained that Greenwave’s technology and advisory support provide visibility beyond traditional building systems, helping teams identify inefficiencies, validate performance, and focus efforts where they matter most. In one example, Greenwave’s monitoring uncovered a hidden mechanical issue that led to a 10% reduction in energy use, delivering approximately $31,200 in annual savings once corrected.

Greenwave was also recognized at the event as a previous SAIF recipient, with President and CEO Dean Clark highlighting how provincial funding has supported continued platform development.
“We’ve been developing AI capabilities within our software to provide per-asset operating costs for utilities and maintenance,” said Clark. “That level of insight helps organizations better understand how their buildings operate and where improvements can be made.”

Greenwave deploys real-time electricity, water, and gas monitoring systems across hundreds of buildings in Saskatchewan and Western Canada, helping organizations reduce energy waste, inform capital planning, and identify emission-reduction opportunities. The company continues to expand its footprint across Canada and into North America.
